For large installs with high-resolution coax cameras: this Hikvision DVR records 16 TurboHD, AHD, CVI or analog cameras of up to 8 MP (4K): 8 MP at 8 fps or 8 MP Lite at 15 fps, and 5 MP / 3K at 12 fps. It takes up to 16 more IP cameras over the network (with enhanced IP mode on; 8 IP out of the box), 32 in all.

AcuSense filters alerts down to people and vehicles; audio is two-way over coax (coaxitron) and H.265+ compression stretches the drive. It has one bay for a hard drive of up to 10 TB, sold separately, and a 4K HDMI output (plus Full HD VGA).
