Why we recommend it

What it does for you

An 8-channel DVR with more intelligence: besides recording TurboHD, AHD, CVI or analog cameras at up to 5 MP Lite (3K Lite), it takes 4 IP cameras over the network and does face recognition on 2 channels (with TurboHD cameras), handy for knowing who came in and when at a shop or office.

AcuSense on 4 channels separates people and vehicles from the rest of the motion (line crossing and intrusion), and AcuSense Lite filters motion on all 8, so alerts stay useful. Audio is two-way and runs over the same coax cable (coaxitron). It holds one hard drive of up to 10 TB, sold separately, and has a Full HD output.

Ideal for

Homes with coax-wired cameras
Businesses replacing their recorder

A mix of coax and IP cameras

8 + 4Coax cameras + IP cameras

What you need to make it work

The recorder ships without a hard drive: it needs a surveillance drive to store video. This is what we recommend to complete the installation.
