Why we recommend it

What it does for you

This Epcom DVR is the heart of a small coax camera system: it takes up to 4 TurboHD, AHD, CVI or analog cameras and, if you need them, up to 2 more IP cameras over the network (with enhanced IP mode on; 1 IP out of the box). It records each channel at up to 4 MP Lite, and with the latest firmware it accepts 5 MP TurboHD cameras and records in 5 MP Lite: plenty to see a house entrance, a driveway or a shop clearly.

It has AcuSense on up to 2 channels: it filters alerts to people or to vehicles (you pick one), so phone alerts stop firing for leaves, pets or headlights. Audio travels over the same coax cable (coaxitron) when your cameras support it. It holds one hard drive of up to 10 TB, sold separately, and has a Full HD output for any screen.

Ideal for

  • Homes with coax-wired cameras
  • Businesses replacing their recorder
  • TurboHD, AHD or analog installs
  • A mix of coax and IP cameras
  • 4 + 2Coax cameras + up to 2 IP (enhanced IP mode)
  • 4 MP LitePer channel (5 MP Lite with recent firmware)
  • 10 TBMaximum drive (not included)
  • AcuSenseOn 2 channels: people or vehicle alerts

Build your system

What you need to make it work

The recorder ships without a hard drive: it needs a surveillance drive to store video. This is what we recommend to complete the installation.
