Why we recommend it

What it does

It is a metal junction box for mounting the camera. It keeps the cable and power connectors inside, where otherwise they would hang loose or sit exposed behind the camera. Being metal it is sturdier, and it leaves the camera seated on a firm base instead of resting on the cables.

It fits Hikvision DS-2CD20XX series cameras and TurboHD cameras, so check your camera model before ordering. If your camera belongs to another series, look for its matching box: each box is made for one family of cameras and they do not all line up.
