What it does at home

An affordable water leak sensor that sits on the floor, where a leak starts without anyone noticing: under the sink, next to the water heater or behind the washing machine. When its electrodes touch water, it reports over Zigbee to the SHGATEWAYZWB hub, which sends the alert to your phone and can trigger automatic scenes. It needs that hub, sold separately: the sensor does not work on its own.

It runs on a 3 V CR2450 button cell, installs with no wires or tools, and its 2.4 GHz Zigbee radio reaches up to 130 meters in open space. It measures 60 mm across by 18.5 mm and operates from −10 °C to 55 °C.
