What it does at home
The hub of the SmartHome by Epcom family: the small box that Zigbee sensors, such as the SHWDZ100 water leak sensor, connect to so their alerts reach your phone. It combines three radios in one device: Zigbee 802.15.4 for the sensors, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi to join your network and Bluetooth 5.0 for initial setup.
The Zigbee network is a mesh: each device you add extends the reach, and if an area is too far you can add another hub. It works with Alexa and Google Home for voice control, and with SmartHome by Epcom IP cameras. It is powered over USB-C with the 5 V, 1 A adapter, has a power and reset button and two status LEDs. It operates from −10 °C to 55 °C.
