Why we recommend it

What it does

It is an IP66 steel enclosure for outdoors, 40 × 40 cm by 20 deep, made to protect the equipment that goes along with the cameras: power supplies, switch, surge protectors. It resists rain and dust, has a metal back plate to fix the equipment onto and a lock with key so no one else can open it.

It is a mid-size in the line, roomier than the 25 × 30 cm one (with enclosures up to 80 × 120 cm if you need more room): it makes sense when several cameras come together at one point and you need room for more than one power supply or for a switch with all its cables. It is used on poles, rooftops and fences where the equipment sits out in the weather and far from the control room.
