Why we recommend it

What it does

UTP cable is the network cable that carries each IP camera's video to the switch or recorder and, with a PoE switch, the power too. This Precision reel holds 305 m of 100% copper Cat5e cable with a 0.45 mm conductor (approx. 24–25 AWG), with a UV-resistant jacket so it stands up to the sun outdoors.

It is the reel for installations where the cable runs outside: facades, fences, roofs and poles. Besides IP cameras it works for data and voice, so you can use the same reel for the office network. If the cable will run through buried conduit, look at the gel-filled version.
