What it does

A PoE injector is a small box that goes between the recorder or switch and the camera: it adds power to the network cable so the camera gets data and electricity over one cable. This Hikvision Hi-PoE injector delivers up to 60 W, the power Hikvision PTZ cameras need, the ones that pan and zoom.

It is the fix when you install a Hikvision PTZ camera and your switch is not PoE or cannot supply enough power for it: instead of replacing the switch, you add this injector just for that camera. The 110 V power cord is not included (sold separately). It is 802.3af and 802.3at compatible, and saves you running a separate power cable to the camera.
