Why we recommend it

What it does

A UPS is a battery with outlets: when the power goes out, it keeps feeding the recorder and the cameras so the system does not stop recording right when you need it most. This 850 VA (510 W) Epcom has 6 outlets: 4 battery-backed and 2 that only protect against voltage spikes.

It is ideal for the system of a home or a small business: you plug the recorder and the camera power supply into the 4 battery-backed outlets, and it keeps the system powered for a few minutes in an outage (up to 40 min with a light load). How long it lasts depends on what you connect, so if your equipment is larger, look at the 1500 VA model.
