Why we recommend it

What it does

A UPS is a battery with outlets: when the power goes out, it keeps feeding the recorder and the cameras so the system does not stop recording right when you need it most. This 1500 VA (900 W) Epcom has 6 outlets: 4 battery-backed and 2 that only protect against voltage spikes.

It is the choice for systems with more cameras, or for anyone who wants more backup time than the 850 VA model: you plug the recorder and the camera power supply into the 4 battery-backed outlets, and it keeps recording through the outage. How long it lasts depends on what you connect, so less equipment means more minutes.
