What it does at home

A wireless water leak detector for the Hikvision AX PRO alarm. It goes where water tends to show up first: under the sink, next to the water heater, behind the washing machine or in the utility room. It detects with its internal sensor or with the included wired external probe, to reach a low corner while the detector stays in view. It needs an AX PRO panel (DS-PWA48-E-WB or DS-PWA96-M-WB, sold separately): the panel is what sends the alert to your phone.

It runs on a CR2450 battery that lasts up to 3 years on standby, is IP66 rated and has front and rear tamper switches that report if someone removes it. It talks to the panel over two-way 433 MHz radio with frequency hopping, and enrolls by scanning its QR code. It measures 62.4 × 62.4 × 14.6 mm and operates from −10 °C to 55 °C.
