Why we recommend it

What it does at home

A wireless smoke detector with a photoelectric sensor, for the ceiling of a home, shop or warehouse. When it senses smoke, its 85 dB buzzer sounds at 3 meters and the red LED turns on; if it is linked to a Hikvision AX PRO panel (DS-PWA48-E-WB or DS-PWA96-M-WB, sold separately), it also alerts your phone and can set off the other detectors. Without a panel it works as a standalone detector: it sounds locally but sends no alerts.

The sensor carries a sealed 10-year battery and the radio a replaceable CR123A good for about 5 years. It communicates at 433 MHz with AES-128 encryption and a range of up to 1 km in free space, self-checks and has a rear tamper. It is for indoor use, mounts on the ceiling, measures 120 mm across by 48 mm and weighs 190.5 g.

Ideal for

  • Bedrooms and hallways
  • Shops and restaurant kitchens
  • Warehouses
  • 85 dBBuzzer at 3 m
  • 10Years of sensor battery
