What it does for you

This recorder is the core of a system with up to 16 IP cameras. Each camera connects with a single network cable to one of its 16 PoE ports, which carry data and power at the same time, with up to 200 W in total for all of them. It records in H.265+ and H.265, formats that take less disk space, and accepts cameras up to 12 MP. It has two bays for drives of up to 16 TB each.

It includes AcuSense analytics that tell people and vehicles apart to reduce false alarms, perimeter protection, facial recognition with libraries of up to 50,000 faces, and AcuSearch quick search. It connects to a screen over HDMI up to 4K or over VGA, has 4 alarm inputs and 1 alarm output, and runs directly on mains power (100 to 240 V). It supports ONVIF for cameras from other brands.
