Why we recommend it

What it does

It is a junction box that sits between the wall and the camera. Inside go the network or coaxial connector and the power connector, the most delicate part of the installation: without a box they hang loose, exposed to water, or get forced into the wall. With this box they stay hidden and protected.

It is IP66 rated, so it stands up to rain and dust outdoors, and it comes with a lid. It fits dome, turret and bullet cameras; the camera screws onto it and the box is fixed to the surface. It is the accessory that separates a clean installation from one with cables in plain sight.
