Why we recommend it

What it does

A balun is a small adapter that lets you carry a coaxial camera's video over UTP network cable instead of coaxial cable. They work in pairs: one connects at the camera and the other at the recorder. This HiLook pair is TurboHD and carries video up to 8 MP, that is, 4K.

You need it when network cable is already in place and you do not want to run coax, or when UTP is simply easier to pull through the conduit. It is compatible with HD-TVI, AHD, CVI and CVBS cameras, so it works with most coaxial cameras, and its contacts are 100% copper.

Ideal for

  • TurboHD cameras up to 4K
  • Homes already wired for network
  • DVR-based systems
  • Switching from coax to UTP
  • 8 MP (4K)Maximum resolution
  • 2 piecesPair: camera and recorder
  • TVI / AHD / CVI / CVBSCompatible signals
  • 100% copperContacts
